Reflections on Meals

Throughout civilized history, much energy has been invested into communal meals. I find this beautiful and a sign of a deeper unity thread in human history.

However, the idea that our food intake only occurs three times a day is unnatural. Originally, man was a hunter who would supplement his energy with naturally abundant snacks like berries, fruits, nuts, seeds, mushrooms, etc…throughout the day. The kill required processing by skinning/cooking so it was a communal activity.

What if meat eaten alone is wrong? What if the only purpose of consuming the flesh of another animal is to bring humans together? 😉 The More you Know!

Have you ever wondered What If I Ate Only One Type of Food?

Well today I looked up this subject; found an article from livescience.com that elaborated adequately.

I learned from this article that the only known food which can fully nutritionally support humans is human milk.  Additionally I learned that in some parts of the world where rice is the only commonly available food in supply, malnourishment becomes a real threat.
